Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work with second shooters?

Yes! My wedding packages include options with either one or two photographers. Often times, couples like to book two photographers to capture their special day, this is a great way to get more images, shots from different angles, and candid photos that I may not be able to get while focusing on the main events. So if candids are a big priority to you, I would definitely recommend two photographers. Don't worry, I have a list full of amazing second shooters and I promise to pick the one I feel best suits your unique day!

Do you collect a retainer prior to the wedding and what payment method is best?

Yes, I ask that a 50% retainer of the total amount be paid upon booking and the remaining balance will be due one month prior to your wedding date. E-Transfer is the preferred method of payment.

How long will it take to receive my wedding photos, and how many photos can we expect to receive?

Wedding photos are delivered 6-12 weeks after the wedding date (or sooner if time allows). Most couples receive between 900-2,000 photos from a full (8-10 hr) wedding day. Numbers vary depending on whether or not a second shooter is present.

All photos are delivered via online gallery for download in both web size for sharing on socials and high resolution for print!

Can I print my own photos?

Of course! Once you've downloaded the photos on to your own device, feel free to print them as you wish!

What is your shooting style?

I believe in documenting organic and natural moments, I shy away from photos that are too posed and inauthentic. I will always offer guidance and encourage movement that allows the photo to bring out your best features. I like to get creative while allowing my couples to be themselves.

I completely understand that some photos are better posed, family portraits for example. If you're feeling awkward or camera shy, no worries, I like to talk and have fun with my couples to bring out those genuine smiles and cute little candid moments!

How many years have you been documenting weddings?

I photographed my first wedding in 2011 and slowly grew my business from there. Since then, I've documented over 140 weddings! I've been shooting weddings full time for about 10 years now and I absolutely love that I get to do this for a living :)

Do you offer family portrait sessions?

I definitely offer lifestyle sessions from families to maternity to newborn. I feel so blessed to be able to capture such important milestones in my client's lives!

What do you want your couples to know going in to their wedding day?

Your day is all about you. I want you to have the best day of your life! I want you to be worry free. I want to capture images that you will be proud to show off. I want you to have fun and be yourself!

I will try to sit and take small breaks in the evening, but please don't think this is me slacking off, 10 hours of work on your feet can be quite tiring, and though I love every moment, a sit down here and there is very much appreciated.

Please have a seat and plate for me (and my second shooter if applicable) at the dinner reception for weddings with 6+ hrs of coverage. It is often helpful to have the photographers eat at the same time as the wedding party so we can be finished and ready to jump up any time there's a speech, we don't want to miss a moment!

I may ask you to get adventurous and do some seemingly strange things for a shot, but it's only because I can see the finished photo in my head and it's so good!
I love the moments when I can be a fly on the wall to capture those candid shots that may otherwise go unseen, they're some of my favourite.

Oh, and I will most likely tear up at your wedding, I'm only human.
