I was lucky enough to meet Emily and Julian through one of my best and longest childhood friends. We got together last winter to shoot their engagement photos and discuss their upcoming September wedding. Shortly after meeting them, it became clear that these two had so much love and respect for one another, and they looked so darn cute together! I was so excited hearing about all of the details for their big day, including the fact that they'd be married in a cozy old stone church with no AC or heating. Considering these two are event planners themselves, I knew the day would be great, and go off without a hitch!
My husband and I took a beautiful drive up to Beaverton to begin the day. I dropped him off with the groomsmen to take some getting ready photos and headed to hang out with the girls. Once ready, we headed downstairs, Emily looking absolutely stunning, and began the drive to the ceremony at The Old Stone Church.
I walked in to the church to the soft sound of acoustics being practiced in the corner. Family members were already beginning to arrive and Julian was there, smiling ear to ear. The ceremony was lovely, quick and full of love and excitement! I couldn't help but smile when I saw the way these two looked at each other, before and after being pronounced husband and wife!
After family portraits, we headed to the stunning reception at Western Trent Golf Club. Lawn games, chandeliers hanging from trees, outdoor fireplaces and a big white tent full of birch trees were just a few of the amazing decorations at this venue! It was honestly one of my favourite places to shoot! On top of that, we got to take the wedding party photos on the beautiful home property of the owners.
Throughout the night, there were so many smiles and laughs and looks of love. It was a huge honour to be a part of this wedding day and witness so many genuine moments. The whole day felt like a dream. There were many comments about Julian being "Prince Charming" throughout the years and I would say that was totally fitting for their wedding day, because Emily looked just like Cinderella. Congratulations again, Emily + Julian! You make a beautiful couple. Wishing you all the best! xo
